Marcia McIntee

Corporate Administrator

Hi, I’m Marcia M. Sasso-McIntee, I’m a Massachusetts native, I moved to Ft. Lauderdale in 1989 and that’s when I met Bernie. The rest, as they say, is history… I grew up in North Reading…it was a great small town and I am proud to be from there! I was a thankful kid... my Dad (Pop) was a cable splicer by trade and was devoted to my mother (Mum) and his five daughters. We had a summer home on Cape Cod and that was the best gift we ever received from my parents. My love of The Cape runs deep… Professionally, I have BA in finance from Merrimack College in North Andover, MA. I worked as a financial planner in Boston, but having a sister in Ft. Lauderdale, I was drawn to the Sunshine State… My career in funeral service began when I met Bernie, we married in 1991 and we worked in all aspects of the industry. The chance to purchase Kalis Funeral Home was a great opportunity for us…not having the cash flow for this (no rich parents to hand it to us) we borrowed from family and friends…alas, we had backers! We got the remainder of the money from an SBA loan (OMG…the amount of paperwork I sent in triplicate…small forest) …anyway, here we are today. I would like to thank everyone in the community for their support…we are grateful to be here to help you with your funeral and cremation needs.
