William Douglas Wilbanks

03-23-1941  -  05-06-2017

Obituary

On Saturday, May 6, 2017 Mr. William Douglas Wilbanks, age 76, of Oakland Park, Florida was reunited with his love, Dorothy Anna Wilbanks who preceded him in death.  Born on March 23, 1941 he was proud to have served his country in the US Army and worked all his life as an auto mechanic.  You could easily find him at the casinos following his retirement even when taking family cruises, he would venture off to the casino where he was most happy.  He will forever be remembered as a beloved husband, adored grandfather, and a cherished father.  He leaves to now cherish his memory and remember his legacy, daughter, Patricia “Trish” and Brian Heenan; grandchildren, Terese(Jason) Shefferman, Tristyn Davis, and Bricyn Heenan; great-grandchild, Cole Shefferman; niece, Amber Roseman; brother, Donald Wilbanks.  Now that he has been reunited with his beloved wife, the family will have a very private and intimate service and ask those who want to pay respects to simply go to a garden and have a moment to reflect on the times spent together and remember what a loving man he was inside and out.
