Obituary

Mr. James H. Collette, age 78, of Oakland Park, Florida died on Tuesday, June 27, 2017 at his home.  James was born on August 1, 1938 in Rockland, Maine a son to the late Angus and Catherine Elliot Collette.  He worked as a teamster truck driver most of his working life and was a devout catholic who went to mass daily.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Carol Shaughnessy.  James leaves to cherish his memory his daughter, Jayne Haley and husband Sterns; 2 grandchildren, Michelle and Catherine Haley; half sisters, Lea, Patty and Susan; half brothers, Tommy and Paul; nephew, Steven and niece, Rory; great-nephews, Steve and John.  The family will receive friends at the Kalis-McIntee Funeral & Cremation Center, 2505 N. Dixie Highway in Wilton Manors, Florida 33305 on Friday, July 7, 2017 from 4:00pm-6:30pm at which time there will be a prayer service offered and again on Saturday from 8:00am-9:30am.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, July 8, 2017 at 10:00am at St. Henry Catholic Church, 1500 S Andrews Ave, Pompano Beach, FL 33069.  Entombment will follow at Lauderdale Memorial Park where military honors will be accorded by the US Air Force. Online condolences may be sent to the family at KalisMcIntee.com
