Obituary

Eleanor Doverspike, 89, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 28, 2017 at Holy Cross hospital in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. A daughter of the late H.W. Enterline and Grace Miller Enterline, she was born January 2, 1928, in Girard, Ohio. Mrs. Doverspike lived the majority of her life in Dayton, PA.  More recently, she was a permanent resident of Boynton Beach, Florida and lived several months of the year in Indiana, Pennsylvania. Mrs. Doverspike was a graduate of the Butler Memorial Hospital School of Nursing.  She was employed for many years as a Registered Nurse at Kittanning hospital.  She was a member of Calvary Presbyterian Church.

She is survived by three sons, Larry and Sally, of both Wilton Manors, Florida and North Huntingdon, Pennsylvania, Lynn and Nancy of both Naples, Florida and Indiana, Pennsylvania, Wayne and Laurie, of Houston, Texas; nine grandchildren, Sarah and Ori Fox, Patrick Doverspike, Jesse Doverspike, Bret Doverspike, Torey Doverspike, Ryan and Allison Doverspike, Aaron and Annalyn Doverspike, Grant Doverspike and Alyssa Doverspike; four great-grandchildren, Braydon, Grayson and Addison Doverspike, and Liana Fox; and a sister, Colleen Travis of Smicksburg, PA

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn (Sparky); a brother, Jack Enterline and a grandson, Brian Doverspike.

Memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Visiting Nurse Association, 850 Hospital Road, #3000, Indiana, PA   15701 or to the Salvation Army, online at give.salvationarmyusa.org, or to your local Salvation Army center.

Mrs. Doverspike will be interred beside her beloved husband at Concord Presbyterian Church, Dayton, PA.   A celebration of her life will be held at a future date to be determined by the family.
