Obituary

Mr. Arturo Anthony Stabile, age 86, of Pompano Beach, Florida died on Friday morning, October 20, 2017 at his home surrounded by his family. Arturo was born in New York City to Antonio and Maria Stabile. After graduating from high school, he went into the reserves with the US Navy. After a short period of time there, he obtained a career in law enforcement where he risked his life every day for 41 years protecting the citizens of both New York City, New York and the Town of Davie, Florida. Arturo married the absolute love of his life, Theresa A. Cerrito Stabile whom he shared 64 years of life, not only with her but right beside her. Together they united in marriage and had 3 children, John (Christine) Stabile, Marie (Jimmy) DeFago, and Anthony (Sarah) Stabile; 6 grandchildren, Alicia, Jimmy, John, Margaret, Gianna, and Anthony; and 5 great-grandchildren. Mr. Stabile was a Member of the Knights of Columbus, #3080 and was a long and good standing member of St. Coleman Catholic Church, where he also served as a Eucharistic Minister. The family will receive friends on Monday, October 23, 2017 at Kalis-McIntee Funeral & Cremation Center, 2505 N. Dixie Highway, Wilton Manors, Florida 33305 from 4:00-7:30pm and a prayer vigil will take place at 7:30pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, October 24, 2017 at 11:00am at St. Coleman Catholic Church in Pompano Beach, Florida. Entombment will follow at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Cemetery, North Lauderdale, where he will be laid to rest. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.KalisMcIntee.com
