B ernie, a third generation funeral director, moved to Florida from Rochester, New York. He started several trade and funeral service companies during the 1980's and 1990's. In 2004 Bernie and his wife Marcia, purchased Kalis Funeral Home; thus, restoring in our community, family ownership and tradition with the Kalis-McIntee Funeral & Cremation Center, becoming one of the last "family owned and operated" funeral establishments in the Broward County area.
